INTRODUCTION TO LITERATURE is recommended for (advanced) 8th grade and up, as a 1st-year high school level literature and writing class
This class will be taught at during the 2022-2023 school year at the HCS Academy.
$400/year (+ Academy Admin fee)
In Introduction to Literature, students will learn to write critical analysis essays in the traditional 5 paragraph essay model about the various classic works of fiction they are reading. MLA format will be taught, along with basic plot line elements, literary terms, and vocabulary work. The class will also include one multi-media presentation.
Existing students coming from FA2U or ATB must have passed the writing portion of that class with a C or better.
